We are proud to offer to you a council designed to educate and support medical speech pathologists in the state of California. Originally established in 1989 as the Southern California Directors Council, which was comprised of management professionals in speech pathology, we evolved into a council to support the expansion and preservation of our profession and we became the Southern California Medical Speech Pathology Council. We have been made up of professionals in the field of speech pathology in Southern California with a special emphasis is on the medical setting. As we have continued to change and grow, we have received feedback that the council would benefit speech pathologists throughout the state of California. As of January 1, 2004, we became the Medical Speech Pathology Council of California (MSCC). We are excited to have been able to expand our council statewide and collaborating with our neighbors to the north to continue to move our profession forward as we face the challenges that the future brings.
